FAQs

Online Ordering

Are your prices online the same as instore?
No. Please do not use the online store to price out a custom order. We are currently offering extremely discounted rates on our online store to promote ordering through our website. Quantities and options are limited due to our current capabilities. Multiple orders of different quantities can be placed to receive the total number of pieces needed. As we increase the capabilities of our online store our online pricing will become more congruent with in-store prices.

Difference in Paper

What kinds of paper do you offer?
There are two types of thicknesses, cover and text. Cover is thicker for business cards and postcards to mention a few. Usually used as a cover to protect documents or stand up to use. Text is thinner for documents and brochures. It is easier to fold and flip through.

The weights refer to how thick or rigid in it is. The lower the pound weight the thinner or less rigid the paper is. To find out more please visit Paper Types to find out more.

File Setup

What Size should my document be?
All documents need to be final size with bleeds included.

How should my document be laid out?
Documents should be one up with  no imposition or duplicates. Double sided documents should be on separate pages or separate files.

What resolution should my pictures be?
300 DPI or dots per square inch is considered the gold standard of quality when creating images for print.  Anything lower may result in “pixalated” or jagged images and blurry text.

What are bleeds?
Bleeds are when your images/color appear as if they are bleeding off the page. When we print bleeds we need additional images/color to go past the cut. This allows us to cut into it without leaving any white left over. We have a resource tab dedicated to explaining document bleeds and how to create them. To find out more about bleeds and margins visit our full bleeds and margins page.

What color space should I be creating and saving my document in?
Since commercial printers use four color process it is strongly recommended that the color space to use is CMYK.
